The Future Identity festival will take to the stage at The Brewery, London, on November 15th & 16th. In preparation for the event we caught up with Matt Wilson, Senior Enterprise Account Executive at festival sponsor, Ekata.

Matt explored some of the reasons why we are seeing an increase in synthetic identity and account takeover fraud. He identified an increase in the availability of computer power around the world, as a significant factor in allowing for more sophisticated attacks from fraudsters.

We chatted about the need for taking a risk-based approach to authentication, to provide a fast, easy service for ‘good’ customers, while ensuring fraudsters experience just the opposite.
